BAUGHEN TOUR OF NORTH OXFORDSHIRE

DIRECTIONS

From Banbury follow the Oxford Road (A4260) into Adderbury.

Turn left into Aynho Road (B4100).

Continue through Aynho along the B4100 to the junction at Souldern (the Bear P.H. is just beyond the junction).

Take the road to the right of the Bear P.H.

Turn left at the next 'Y' junction and follow into Fritwell.

Go straight across at the X-roads and then left at 'Y' junction (Fewcott Road) and follow into Fewcott and Ardley. Follow through the village to the staggered X-roads.

Continue along Ardley Road to Bucknell.

Go straight across at X-roads into Bicester Road. Continue towards Bicester. At a roundabout just before a Railway bridge continue straight on into Bucknell Road.

Continue on and turn left when forced to. At the next roundabout turn right and follow the 'through traffic'. Park in Crown Walk Shopping Centre car park in Bicester.

From car park turn right and proceed to the roundabout. Take first exit (Field Street, Queens Avenue and King's End) towards Oxford.

Just before leaving Bicester turn right - A4095 - towards Middleton Stoney. At the next staggered X-roads go straight on (Bicester Road - becomes B4030) and go into Middleton Stoney.

At the X-roads continue across into Heyford Road (B4030 still).

Stay on this road, pass Caulcott, and continue to Lower Heyford.

Just before Lower Heyford turn left at the X-roads (still B4030).

Continue past Heyford Station and Heyford Bridge.

Go straight on at X-roads.

At Hopcoft's Holt go across at staggered junction.

Continue in to Middle Barton. At X-roads in the village centre go straight across (Enstone Road).

Go past Westcott Barton (still B4030) and continue to Gagingwell.

Continue along B4030 through Church Enstone until the A44 Oxford Road is reached.

Turn right and continue along the main road for about 3 miles.

Turn left onto the A44 to Chipping Norton and continue to the town centre.

From Chipping Norton town centre head towards Banbury but at the double mini roundabout take the first left to Over Norton.

Follow the main road through the village and continue until the main Oxford Road is met.

At the staggered X-roads go straight across and continue to Great Rollright. Park in Village Hall car park.

From the village head north towards Banbury.

After 1.7 miles turn right at X-roads and continue along this road (passing 'The Gate Hangs High' P.H.) until Milcombe is reached.

Go through village and continue until the main Chipping Norton - Banbury road is reached. Turn left and continue into Bloxham village. At roundabout after the garage turn right into Barford Road. Park in Beauchamp Centre car park 100 yards on right.
